Sidak Plaha

Final-year aerospace student at Queen Mary, which in practice means I split my time between simulating orbits that would take decades to fly and sanding carbon fibre that gets absolutely everywhere.

I run the composites side of QMUL's Formula Student car — nosecones and body panels taken from CAD file to resin-infused reality. There's a very specific joy in a part coming out of the mould exactly the way the screen promised, mostly because it almost never does first time.

The rest of my week goes to tutoring everyone from 11+ hopefuls to IB students — the best training I know for explaining hard things simply.
